I am currently an Art Teacher at Clifford H. Wise Middle School, in Medina, New York. In addition to my teaching duties, I also coach Varsity Football. I'm currently in my eighth year of teaching. My chosen profession has given me the opportunity to pursue several of my passions; working with children, coaching, and of course art.
I recently completed my Master's Degree in Liberal Studies from SUNY Brockport, where I met my wife Laura. We now own a beautiful home right here in my hometown of Medina, with my children Tyler and Lydia .
I received my formal art training from the State University of New York at Cortland, where I also played football for the Red Dragons. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in 1995, with a concentration in drawing and painting. During my time in Cortland, I had the opportunity to play football in France, which I found to be a very inspirational trip, especially as an art major.
After Cortland, I returned to Medina and took a long term substitute teaching position at Towne Elementary School . The experience opened my eyes as to how wonderful a career in art education would be. After I finished substituting in Medina, I returned to school to get my teaching certification
at the State University of New York at Buffalo. After completing the certification program, I was hired
in my hometown of Medina to teach and coach.
In addition to my regular duties as, husband, father, teacher, and coach, I occasionally find time to pursue my own artwork and woodworking as well as playing semi-professional football for the
Buffalo Gladiators.
I hope that you enjoy this collection of some of my artwork. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
